Naruto Shippuden is a Japanese anime series that has over 11 seasons and takes place two and a half years after part 1 of Masashi Kishimoto’s original manga series, following ninja teenager Naruto Uzumaki who must face off with an array of villains whose only purpose is to destroy their universe for good. Naruto continues his journey after Sasuke leaves Konoha and becomes more powerful as he tries to protect his village, save a friend, and end an evil organization’s plans.

Naruto Shippuden ran from 2007 to 2017, airing 500 episodes. The series had 204 filler episodes totalling 41% of the entire show run which is far above the industry average for anime shows (between 10-15%). It began broadcasting on February 15, 2007, by TV Tokyo and concluded on March 23rd 2017 which drew in millions of viewers worldwide.
