What Happened So Far In Plunderer

Hina is the protagonist of this anime series who had walked over 760 kilometers to find the Legendary Red Baron. She was told to see to by her mother, dragged into the abyss because her count fell to zero.

Determined to find it for her mother, Hina travels over 760 kilometers to find it. Still, due to her innocence, she gets tricked on multiple occasions, even by a royal soldier who wanted to steal her ballot (that was given to her by her mother). Luckily Hina gets saved by Licht Bach, who appears to be a pervert wearing a mask but, in truth, is a Legendary Fabled Ace who possesses two counts (a ballot). His count is -1001, the number of times he has gotten rejected by girls, and his ballot count is 5700 for the number of enemies he has killed or defeated.

In the final episodes, Licht blames himself for the death of his classmates and makes revelations for his current teammates. In the end, Licht and Hina both team up to find the seven ballots. They make a vow not to use it against Alicia or any evil but will instead use it for the betterment of humanity.

The series is filled with loads of ecchi and harem moments, so it is highly advised not to watch it with children. Plunderer has its fair bits of humor and a whole lot of action. The plot is exciting and attracts the viewer to watch the next episode as soon as possible.

Tamotsu Kosano founded them in October 2017 in South Koenji. Geek pictures served as a subsidiary of Japanese Mass Media Corporation before moving to Nakano, Tokyo, in February 2020.

The studio has worked on only a few projects due to its recent establishment in 2017. They have worked on Anime television series like RErideD: Tokigoe no Derrida, Date A Bullet: Dead or Bullet, and its sequel Date a Bullet: Nightmare or Queen. Their future projects include Date A Live IV and Gensou Sangokushi: Tengen Reishinki. Most of their anime series has the theme of Ecchi and Harem, making it 18+ for most of its viewers.

What do we know about Plunderer Season 2 so far?

It has been more than a year since Plunderer Season 1 was completed. Now every Otaku is asking one question, “When will Season 2 be released?” Season 1 ended in a cliffhanger which wasn’t a surprise since the manga consists of eighteen volumes, and it would be pretty hard to squeeze in the plot in just twenty-four episodes.

It’s rumored that Season 2 will dive deeper into the central issue of the first season. This consists of the cast, the social problems, and unfair reservations. They might even give more details about the character’s past (mostly Licht) and paint a better portrait of the plot than their previous season, where there were too many fan services that felt and looked like they did not belong there.

Hopefully, Season 2 will do justice to the manga that had a more detailed storyline.

What are fans saying about Plunderer Season 2?

“No more fillers or fan service,” that is the request made by almost every fan who felt that the series would have had a better rating if there weren’t so many unwanted ecchi scenes that did not even make sense and just ruined the whole tempo of the anime.

Another fan on Reddit has let the cat out of the bag over what most fans have felt about, and that is the relationship between Licht and Hina. The producers kept creating moments where the connection between Licht and Hina was continuously being interrupted by Lynn. Fans feel that the relationship should take the next step in Season 2. If it weren’t for the elaborate ecchi and harem scenes, fans would have found this anime excellent and are all in line for Season 2!

Will there be Plunderer Season 2?

Good News for Plunderer fans, the studio has not ended the series, and most likely, we will see Season 2 in the future. Plunderer’s main Twitter account tweeted on October 2, 2021, that the nineteenth volume has been released titled, “The Manifestation of ‘Evil’ that Swallows Everything.” So, it seems that the manga is ongoing, and we have our fingers crossed that Season 2 will come in a few years.

Apart from that, the anime had gotten a rating of 6.4/10 on IMBD, and 61% of people liked the anime on AniList. This is probably because of the numerous amount of fillers the anime contained that ruined the first season. The anime series on google trends have had an average number of searches of the past year, with the lowest number of searches reaching as low as fifty-two. The anime series has enough source material, with another volume added to its addition just this month. The probability of us seeing a second season for the plunderer is high, and we have our guesses that it might be released somewhere around 2022-2023.

When will Plunderer Season 2 be released?

The main Twitter page for Plunderer has not released any official announcement about an exact release date. Still, since they just released volume nineteenth of the manga series, it seems that we won’t be getting the exact date until the whole manga series is complete or at least have had enough storyline for the anime series to start production.

We have our fair guesses about a release date for Season 2, and it most probably will be around the end of 2022 to 2023.

What Can We Expect In Season 2 Of Plunderer?

Season 1 ended in a cliffhanger where Licht blamed himself for the death of his classmates and where he had messed up a lot in the past. Licht and Hina both decide to team up and find the remaining seven ballots and change the course of humanity in a positive way.

Season 2 will probably pick up from there, giving us a better insider of their pasts and their plans for finding the seven ballots. If the studio listens to the fan’s review, then we just might be getting a slight change in the studio’s style of production with fewer fillers and unwanted harem/ecchi scenes for fan service.

A more profound portrait of the main characters’ pasts and what happened led to them being the way they are. The better plot, and we might see Licht unleash his most substantial move too, which was not possible since it was stopped midway in Season 1.

Hopefully, Season 2 will be 10X times better than Season 1, and that it will be released soon.
